Simultaneous observations of an X-ray and optical flare in QSO 1156+295.
Abstract
Coordinated X-ray and optical observations of the optically violent variable (OVV) quasar 1156+295 revealed flares in both frequency bands during early 1985. The authors discuss the Rosemary Hill Observatory's long term monitoring program and also cooperative programs. The history of the OVV QSO 1156+295 and the 1985 outburst and the simultaneous data obtained at that time are described.
